Membership and Programs Manager

janine is a values-motivated generalist who dreamed of pressing important buttons at NASA's Mission Control as a kid. At ORPIB, she's found a much lower-stress environment in which to help keep the mission aloft. Her name is set intentionally with lower case characters because that's just what feels the best to her.  janine's portfolio career includes parenthood, gender-affirming care, custom sports apparel, creative project management, communications management, general business operations, print design, baking and pastry, and more.  As ORPIB's Mission Control, janine enjoys getting to know about your professional passions, struggles, goals, and handy tricks for automating frequent tasks. She's delighted by the magic that can happen through curious, open-hearted collaboration, and is excited to work with Michael Jonas on our not-so-secret agenda to turn this Chamber of Commerce into a Community. Beyond ORPIB, janine feels the most like herself when she's spending time with her family, trying to make friends with the neighborhood birds, or baking treats to share.

Michael Jonas, JD, MBA, has a background in business, law, and advocacy. As ORPIB’s first Executive Director, he is dedicated to expanding ORPIB's strong foundation and enhancing its impact on the LGBTQ+ business community across Oregon and SW Washington. He is also an avid follower of politics and has recently taken up gardening.
