We know that a healthy economy requires adequate support and resources for all of us to thrive.
The LGBTQ+ community is diverse and intersectional, and many of us have experienced barriers to these supports and resources at some point. We also understand that we all have varied ways we prefer to connect and build relationships. This is why Oregon Pride in Business is introducing “Days of Service” into our calendar of events. Members, Partners, Volunteers, Resource Groups, and all members of the community are invited to join us in giving back throughout the year.
All of our Days of Service are free to attend. Join us.
Gateway Green Stewardship with Friends of Trees
May 4, 2024, 9:45am-1pm
Join our group to support Friends of Trees mulching hundreds of native trees and shrubs that were planted this past winter at this special site park! We may also take out some weedy introduced plants, if time allows. Note: there will be no tree-planting at this event, and this is physically-demanding work (great for folks looking for a work out!). Their stewardship events help to ensure the highest level of plant survival through the PNW dry summer months ahead.
Community Blood Drive with Bloodworks Northwest
June 28, 9am – 3pm
Join the Q Center and Oregon Pride in Business by giving blood this Pride month with Bloodworks Northwest, the local nonprofit blood bank of the Pacific Northwest!
Bloodworks Northwest provides blood to over 95% of hospitals in Washington and Oregon, and they are the primary supplier of blood for all Legacy, Providence, and PeaceHealth hospitals.
Let’s lend a hand to make the Largest Rare Beer Auction in the World their best event yet! New Avenues for Youth is a Portland-based nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention and intervention of youth homelessness. Our services for young people (ages 9-25) focus on the individual—their experiences, identities, needs, and goals—and helping them make positive change in their lives.
