Our vision is a thriving network of LGBTQ+ businesses and communities across Oregon and SW Washington, promoting shared economic prosperity and strong, inclusive relationships among historically excluded communities.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs and professionals by delivering resources, advocacy, and education through impactful programs and events. Committed to building a more inclusive and welcoming business community, we foster meaningful progress toward social, political, and economic equity through strategic partnerships, service, and leadership. Together with our members, allies, and community leaders, we strengthen and connect our communities, championing diversity, intersectionality, and sustainable progress across the region.

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB)

At Oregon Pride in Business (ORPIB), we believe every member of our LGBTQ+ community deserves the chance to thrive. Recognizing the history of oppression and systemic barriers impacting our community, we aim to foster meaningful change and create opportunities that empower our members. We believe that businesses engaging diverse perspectives and evolving to be more inclusive and equitable are essential to driving social impact and community well-being.

ORPIB is dedicated to transforming our organization by confronting biases and putting our values into action. Intentions alone don’t create change. We bring our successes, learnings, and ongoing commitment to equity in service of our members and community. Our DEIB Strategy and Action Plan focuses on building a model of economic empowerment, innovation, and advocacy for social justice in Oregon and SW Washington. Through our efforts, we seek to establish a path for LGBTQ+ businesses and professionals to flourish, strengthened by intentional programming, accessibility, and accountability.

ORPIB will continue to partner with organizations and allies across intersecting identities, actively building connections to serve as an information hub and support system for LGBTQ+ businesses. We believe that businesses can be powerful agents of economic justice, and we are committed to modeling a path forward that centers diversity, equity, and belonging for all.
